In 2024 alone, the Fund made major progress supporting the UAE’s foreign aid policy, contributing to goals like the UAE Centennial 2071, Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030, and the UAE Export Development Policy—while staying true to its mission of helping countries overcome economic and social challenges.
What Does $59 Billion Really Do?
By the end of 2024, ADFD’s total development financing had reached an incredible:
- $42.7 billion in low-interest, concessional loans
- $15.7 billion in government grants
- $516 million in direct contributions
So, where did the money go? Into life-changing projects—like clean water systems, modern transportation, better schools and hospitals, renewable energy plants, housing developments, and tech infrastructure.
