Throughout the first half of 2024, 832 employees from 26 prominent hotels and tourist destinations in Dubai have actively participated in these workshops, with more sessions planned for the remainder of the year.

In collaboration with key entities such as the Dubai Tourist Police Department, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, Dubai Municipality, and the Directorate General of Civil Defence Dubai, these workshops aim to familiarize hospitality staff with DET’s services and enhance their understanding of consumer rights and duties. Participants are educated on optimal utilization of services, communication channels for tourism-related matters, and are encouraged to prominently display consumer protection contact details for guest convenience.

Ahmad Ali Moussa, Director of the Consumer Protection Department at DCCPFT, emphasized the workshops’ role in supporting Dubai’s ambitious tourism goals and ensuring high standards across hospitality sectors.

Brigadier Khalfan Obaid Al Jallaf, Director of Dubai Tourist Police, highlighted the collaborative effort to enhance security awareness among hospitality employees, aiming to extend these benefits to over 100 hotels and 2,000 employees by year-end.

These initiatives reflect Dubai’s proactive approach to maintaining visitor confidence and safety, reinforcing its stature as a premier global destination for business and leisure.
